BabyTime
Privacy & photo access
Understand how BabyTime uses photos and which settings you control.
Product information updated October 5, 2026, based on the current App Store listing.
Why does BabyTime need photo access?
BabyTime finds baby moments among the iPhone photos and videos you allow it to access. Your baby’s birthday and photo capture dates are used to show age in months and days. The photos available to the app determine what it can organize and display.
What is processed on device?
Core organization features in the current release, including baby photo recognition, age-based browsing and collection indexing, run on your device. The current release does not include account sign-in, public social posting or cloud photo syncing.
How is this different from iCloud?
On-device processing describes BabyTime’s core organizing features. Your iCloud Photos, device backup and system sync settings are separate. BabyTime does not currently provide an additional cloud photo backup, so keep your own originals and backup arrangements.
How can I change photo access?
Review or change the app’s photo permission in your iPhone settings. Limiting the available photos also limits what the app can organize. Adjust permissions instead of deleting original pictures to limit access.
Does this website read my photos?
